Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Mt. Morris Park Community Improvement (MMPCIA) Stoop Sale. We know time is your most valuable asset and we appreciate your support for one of our major annual events.

SATURDAY, MAY 17/10 AM

POSTER DROPS: This requires partnering with one (1) other person to staple posters to poles on Lenox Avenue. You will be provided the posters and supplies the week of Sunday, May 12 - Friday, May 17.

SUNDAY, MAY 18/ 9:30 AM - 12 PM (ESTIMATED END TIME)

MMPCIA STOOP SALE BRANDED BALLOON PICK-UP & DROPS: This requires partnering with one of our MMPCIA Stoop Sale Committee Members and other volunteers to pick up the inflated balloons from a local store on 125th Street approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 18. You will head back to our district, with inflated balloons, to drop one (1) balloon to each MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participant for display on their stoop. We recognize that some Participants will receive their balloons after the event start time of 11AM. However, this task can only be executed event day-morning due to the fact balloons deflate of helium in less than 24 hours.

SUNDAY, MAY 18/ 10 - 11 AM

MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT, SUPPLIES, & SET-UP: This requires partnering with at least one (1) other person to set-up & pick up, from one location in the catchment area, the tent; chairs; table; and supplies (clip board, flyers, forms, pens, banners) for the MMPCIA Information Tent(s) that will be located on Lenox Avenue within the catchment area.

SUNDAY, MAY 18 : MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT: This requires partnering with one (1) other person to sit at the tent, during the time periods indicated below share information about our organization; pass out flyers and answer questions about the MMPCIA Stoop Sale; collect email addresses for the MMPICA e-Newsletter; sign people up for MMPCIA membership; sell raffle tickets; and cash handling.

SUNDAY, MAY 18/12 -3 PM

PARTICIPANT LIAISON: This requires checking on MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participants on event day. You will need to check in and visit the Participant’s stoop, at least one time during 12 and 2 PM and provide your mobile phone to the Participant to serve as a point-of-contact (POC) to field any questions or concerns on event day only. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than ten (10) Participants to liaise with.

SUNDAY, MAY 18/3 - 4 PM

PARTICIPANT KIT/DONATION/RAFFLE SALES PICK-UP: This requires picking-up a Participant Kit that includes supplies and tools for each MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participant. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than 10 addresses to pick-up from.

SUNDAY, MAY 18/4 - 5:30 PM

MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT BREAKDOWN & SUPPLIES DROP-OFF: This requires partnering with at least one (1) other person to breakdown, the tent; chairs; table; and supplies (clip board, flyers, forms, pens, banners) in the MMPCIA Information Tent that will be located on Lenox Avenue within the catchment area. The tent and the supplies will be dropped off at an address within the catchment area.
