We’re proud to once again be a City Parks Foundation NYC Green Fund awardee, helping to bring free arts programming to Marcus Garvey Park.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, We’re Outside returns on Saturday, August 29, delivering an outdoor celebration of art, music, and community.
Presented by the Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association (MMPCIA) in partnership with Heath Gallery, and an official ancillary event of the City Parks Foundation SummerStage Charlie Parker Jazz Festival, We’re Outside invites friends, neighbors and visitors alike to spend an afternoon outside with us:
Exploring original artwork by 28 contemporary artists
Meeting the artists and learning more about their work.
Participating in a free Contemporary Portrait-Making Workshop led by master teaching artist Élan Cadiz (space is limited)
Having some fun at our specially designed selfie station.
Chilling on the lawn while enjoying the sounds of the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival from the nearby amphitheater.
