University of Southern California
Fine Arts Class of 2015
As a MMPCIA Scholarship recipient, I attended the University of Southern California where I received my BA in Fine Art. After receiving my undergraduate degree I had the honor of working at both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Studio Museum in Harlem. Through those positions I developed an appreciation for the collection, preservation, and education of the arts. I soon learned about archiving, which allowed me to do the latter on a broader scale. In pursuit of furthering my education, I attended Clayton State University, where I received my Masters in Archival Studies. Currently located in Atlanta, GA, I work as an archivist for the GA State Historic Preservation Office, where I hope to expand my practice into the Historic Preservation field.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a MMPCIA Scholar, it has made all the difference.
